Zenzara Designer Pegge Goertzen collects antique European textiles from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries and reimagines them as new handbags, jewelry and pillows. She concentrates on handmade metallic gold and silver metallic appliques, lace, woven braids, cords, fringe, and tassels. These are the pieces that often survive after the fabrics begin to deteriorate from age and use.
